A couple of housekeeping matters first. You’ll see in the info box that I’ve given myself the title of editor, and a new editor-at-large Jeffrey August will be contributing feature pieces from time to time. We’ve been talking about this for a while, and I figured that with some of the news that’s going to be made in the next couple of months, now is the right time to bring in another passionate soul to help carry the weight. Jeffrey, a.k.a. “jeffro” at AN, cut his teeth putting together a fantastic, nine-part series there called “Greener Grass” to help educate fans there about the ballpark situation. If you want to sample Jeffrey’s work, check out the series.

Jeffrey has also been commenting here and at the old site for quite a while. He even started a Facebook group called “Keep the A’s in the Bay Area.”
Over time, I’ll be looking to have additional guest contributors whose unique expertise and perspectives could add dimension to the site. For now, welcome aboard Jeff, and we all look forward to your future articles.
Grats Geoff.
AN only serves to make sure the Oakland A’s leave Oakland. The “Bay Area” angle espoused on that site is conducive to fulfilling ownerships wishes to leave Oakland. It’s as simple as that. Any site which promotes the “Bay Area” undermines the momentum going on for an Oakland ballpark.
Cut the fascist bullshit for once.
While I don’t think you are fascist, I am city agnostic.
I am an athiest-I dont believe in cities.
“Momentum?” Could you please explain what the hell you’re talking about? And for the record Nav, the world is round, not flat!
Have fun rooting for the Oakland Oaklanders, your imaginary baseball team that plays and lives only in Oakland, in front of paying customers who have never been outside of Oakland in their lives. I hear there is a little league team somewhere in Oakland that fits your criteria. Why don’t you become a fan of them and leave the A’s to the real fans of the team.
Congratulations Jeffrey. I always knew you’d amount to something. Great series, by the way.
Thanks Navigator! I appreciate your knowledge and passion for the “Oakland” Athletics.
Great choice ML. Congrats Jeffrey (Jeffro). I’ve been reading both sites for years and know this will be a great addition.
Congrats Jeff. Does the frog come with you?
think that stays in his pocket.
Better in his pocket than in his throat.
Congrats Jeff. I’ve been amazed with the work ML has been able to do single-handedly and a second perspective/set of eyes and ears should help this site become even better.
Let’s hope I don’t screw it up 🙂 And I agree, ML is the man.
