Great pictures. I’m going to miss the ol’ girl. Sad I wasn’t able to make it this spring. Also we shouldn’t forget about the loss of Papago. What is happening to that site?
While I’m excited to see the A’s moving into HoHoKam, especially after the A’s centric upgrades, I’ll miss Phoenix Muni. She was the last of her kind, the old simple spring training venues. She catered only to the game and she was the first spring park I ever visited. Sure the seats and sightlines down the line weren’t the best, there was no shade, and she was started to get as run down as her MLB counterpart, but she also had a charm and history all her own, again not unlike the Coliseum.
