Earlier today I posted on Twitter that I was going to take in the Bay Bridge doubleheader by attending both A’s and Giants home games during the same day. The A’s-M’s game, which was not televised, was a tidy affair punctuated by quick innings by both Joey Devine and Andrew Bailey to complete a combined shutout started by Guillermo Moscoso. Now I’m in SF, having bought a SRO admission for tonight’s Giants-Padres tilt. I’ll probably grab something to eat nearby before the game starts. It’s my first time being able to do this, so I can knock it off my bucket list.

NNow all we need is for the Giants to lose and you’ll be 2-0 on your cross-Bay baseball doubleheader. I’ve done A’s-Sharks on the same day and Cal-Sharks on the same day. Hopefully, A’s-Sharks on the same day will simply require a few-hundred-yard walk in a few years.
Hopefully my Padres can accommodate what pjk said and end ML’s day on a good note.

I’ve done A’s/Warriors doubleheaders a few times years ago and would hang out and play video games at the old Malibu Grand Prix for a few hours.. I’ve mention this before, but if VC can somehow become a reality, the A’s and G’s should do doubleheaders–one game in each park–and have the players/press travel by ferry between parks like did back in the old PCL days with the Oaks and Seals.
Imagine going to a game at VC in the afternoon and taking the Ferry over to ATT for a night cap? And getting some of the best of Both Oakland and San Francisco with all of this?

…Unless somebody is willing to part with $500 mill+, Sharks to A’s via a San Jose flight to San Antonio, Texas is more likely than VC to ATT. Oakland is in obvious foot-dragging mode on its VC draft EIR. Wonder why?
