This blog was launched at Blogger on March 14, 2005. I wrote seven (!) posts that day.
- What? And Why?
- New Ballpark Site
- News from the last several days
- New stadium issues affecting Stockton Ports
- Amtrak to the Coliseum
- More on Coliseum South Lot
- The A’s and revenue sharing
I must’ve been really excited. If you want to get a taste for what was happening then and how bad my writing was (still is), run through those posts. I’m at a more comfortable, columnist-like three or four posts a week nowadays. Will I have another post like this ten years from now? I sure hope not.
I’ll have new stuff on Monday.
Happy Anniversary Rhamesis! Who knew 10+ years ago we’d still be at it in 2015. Here’s to the next 10(?)!!
Let’s hope not, ML would like to finish his book soon.
I would be happy to have already applauded ML on opening day at a new bay area ballpark in 10 years. Heck by then AT&T (which should not ever be replaced) will probably be older than 1/3 of all current MLB venues (the next stadium rush will come soon…just wait). Anyway, I’ve been a reader since 2005 and love your work.
Thanks, for all the hard work ML.
10 years later and no closer to a new ballpark. Sad.
Congratulations, ML! I’ve been here 3-4 years and I really appreciate the hard work.
Awesome job ML- amazing how little things have changed in the past 10 years. Appreciate all the time you invest to keep us informed.
thanks for feeding my neurosis.
Thank you very much for all your hard work. I stop by the site everyday to get my fix.
Wow. I’ve been reading this blog for 9 years! (Unfortunately I rarely comment anymore because I couldn’t stand repeating myself any longer)
It’s crazy to think about how the A’s and their quest for a new stadium have created a culture within itself. Since this all started, I’ve been to more city council meetings than I’ve ever imagined, I’ve meet more mayors, senators, team owners, and newspaper columnists than I’ve ever imagined, and I’ve gotten to know ML and Jeffrey. I often wonder where all this exposable time will go when this whole issue is resolved. Until then, congrats ML on a successful, and stressful, blog.
all the free time will go to Star Wars geekery, if I have anything to say about it.
BTW, let me join in and offer thanks and congratulations, or maybe condolences, that there is still a need for this site after 10 years.
Bet you didn’t think you’d still be doing this site a decade later! Not an A’s fan nor am I from the bay area but I have always found your site very interesting so it’s been in my bookmarks for a least 5 years! Keep up the good work!
Thank you, ML for all your hard work. I enjoy reading your blog and all the comments.
Congratulations, Marine Layer. I’ve been a reader since 2012 and have admired how much hard work you’ve done on this website. I’m amazed that you’ve been at this for this long and are still posting. I live in Columbus, OH and think Huntington Park would be a great model for the A’s to look at for a new ballpark.
Congrats ML, and thanks for all your hard work. Always a good read…
March 14 is also my son’s birthday. He just turned 7. Hard to believe I started reading this blog before he was born. Crazy how time slips away. The search for a new A’s stadium should be measured in years, not decades. Thanks to RM for the countless hours of dedication and effort that keeps us all extremely well informed.
